Fun Times

Yesterday we were lucky to have one of the nicest days of the year. I decided to do some yard work in the morning and let the boys play outside all day since I knew the weather was supposed to be bad again today (sure enough we woke up to a couple inches of snow and it's been snowing practically all day.) They loved playing in the dirt and they both looked like orphans by the end of the day.

Luckily we have lots of dirt in our backyard to play with (and eat) as it is still a work in progress. All the junk in the background (of Jarrett's picture) is from Josey's cub scout activity the night before that he didn't clean up. As he never looks at this blog it is okay to mention what a mess it is.

Today Jordan's friends came over for awhile to play (I babysit them every Thursday) and they brought him a special blue sucker. He wanted me to take a picture so everyone could see his blue tongue.

While Jordan and his friends were playing, Jarrett was enjoying playing on the table. He seriously sat up there and climbed on and off the chairs for about an hour. This is his new favorite thing to do. It gets a little annoying (especially when he tries to go from the table to the countertop and mess up everything!) But it makes him happy and he is perfecting his climbing and balancing skills and has only fallen off once.

Jordanites

Today I just wanted to share a cute story (at least I thought it was really cute.) Last night for FHE, we decided to draw some pictures of Book of Mormon stories and tell our boys about them. When we were trying to tell Jordan the story about the Jaredites, he kept adding "and the Jordanites." I thought it was funny, but I didn't realize for a minute that to him the Jaredites were the "Jarrettites" and he just wanted the Jordanites to be included too. Just one of the many cute things he says each day.

Playing With Cousins

Yesterday Josey had to coach a track meet in Logan, but he had to make sure to be back here in Kemmerer by 5:30 because he had to sing in stake conference (with a group, they did a WONDERFUL job!). So I had to drive over there with the boys to bring him home. It worked out good because other than it being pretty windy (which I thought I would escape by leaving Kemmerer) it was a nice day and Jordan got to play with his cousins, Rhett and Quinn. They had a lot of fun jumping on grandma & grandpa's new trampoline and finding lots of ways to be noisy little boys. Jordan LOVES playing with his cousins, so it's worth it to give him the chance any time I can. Just a fun day and here are a few pictures.

Precious Boys

Just wanted to make an entry today because I got a cute picture of my boys. They are so sweet. Today I really needed to mop the floor and it's really hard for me to keep Jarrett off of it so I put him in his crib and told Jordan to go in there and play with him. After I was finished I went in to check on them and Jordan had taken every single toy from their toy boxes and put them in the crib to play with his brother. They probably would have stayed in there for a lot longer, but I took Jarrett out. I just thought it was really cute.

Jordan was having some friends come over at 11:00 today and he couldn't wait. He's really into clocks right now and asking what time it is and I showed him that when the minute hand got to the "12" his friends would come over. So then I went about my business and a few minutes later Jordan told me it was time for his friends to come. I looked at the clock (which is in a locked entertainment center.) That little smarty pants had unlocked the entertainment center, opened up the clock and wound it until it said 11:00! I'm not kidding! He is so smart. I think he learned this trick from a Curious George episode.

Anyways, I just wanted to share some of the cute things my boys did today. They really are sweethearts and I love them so much!

Walking Boy

Well today I was planning on starting some spring cleaning, but when it started snowing outside I decided to scrap that idea and try to get a video of Jarrett walking instead. He started taking a few steps before we went up to Montana for spring break, but he would only take two or three steps until this week, when he finally decided it was okay to walk everywhere. I think he is very cute doing it, and I'm glad it took him this long to figure it out.

When Jordan saw that Jarrett was the star of the show, he begged me to take a picture of him doing one of his favorite things: watching Curious George and eating a Starburst. Yes, I know I'm a bad mom!
