Power Yoga

It's been time for an update for awhile, but I'm still waiting for all the pictures from our trip to Montana, so hopefully I'll get to that sometime.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a couple other things we've been up to. This morning Jordan asked me if he could watch a show while I was still in bed. I said sure. When I came out into the living room a few minutes later, this is what I found:

Jordan had found an exercise show called "Power Yoga" and was determined to do all the moves. Jarrett, on the other hand, was not one bit happy about Jordan's choice of a show and was laying on the couch pouting.

(We put the Wii away at the beginning of the summer because Jordan was obsessed with it. He has missed his regular dose of Wii Fit and also loves doing P90X videos to make up for it.) He is a funny kid, but at least I'm teaching him the good habit of exercise, right? I've also got a video somewhere of him running on my treadmill. Jarrett, so far, has not taken up the exercising habit.

Josey has been busy for the past 2 or 3 weeks putting in a fireplace and sandbox in our backyard. He has some big ideas for the rest of our yard, but for now it is kind of half-finished because he is tired and our funds are tight. But we're happy with what he's done so far. Yesterday the boys played in the sandbox all afternoon with their friends and it was a very peaceful afternoon for me. Thanks for all your hard work Josey.

Jaycie is growing way too fast.  At 8 weeks, she weighed 9 lbs 3 oz.  She started smiling about 3 weeks ago, but is not much of a smiler. This is the best shot I've got of a half-smile.  And since it has taken me ALL DAY to figure out how to get my pictures on here (and I still can't figure out how to rotate Jaycie's picture so I'm going to give up...something is really messed up with my Blogger account or computer) she has a new trick:  rolling over!  At 9 1/2 weeks, she is my earliest roller, but she did it 3 times today so I'm sure it's not a fluke.  She is a very good sleeper, usually sleeping 9-11 hours at a stretch at night, and then napping most of the morning. This has given me a much-needed energy boost and I'm starting to love running again. For awhile, I dreaded it every day because my legs felt so dead, but I kept doing it because I just knew eventually it would start feeling good again.

We're just trying to enjoy the last couple weeks of summer now. Luckily school doesn't start here this year until after Labor Day. Jordan will be starting kindergarten, which makes me sad. Times flies by way too fast.
